Mission Noche Buena
Organized by: Julian Cruz-Barben
Thank you for supporting Mission Noche Buena. I created Mission Noche Buena with the vision to change lives and to help poverty stricken families in the Philippines. Each year, I am very thankful to have a Noche Buena meal with my family. I knew, however, that there were other families who are not as fortunate. After some research, I was disheartened to learn that millions of people in my ancestral country of the Philippines must live on $1.25 a day. How could they survive, let alone afford a Noche Buena meal? And so, Mission Noche Buena was born.
Through generous donations, we raised over $1,000 in our first two years. With the help of The Regina Barbara Children Institute and local churches, dozens of families have been able to celebrate the holiday.
During a recent trip to the Philippines, however, I realized the true meaning of Noche Buena – it is a night free from hunger, from illness, and free from the bondage of poverty. Please join Mission Noche Buena in bringing food, education, and health to people back home. By opening doors to education and healthcare, and ensuring access to nutritious meals, together we can give people opportunity to hope and look to the future.
Let’s make it a Good Night, Every Night, for Every One!
