Nojan Valadi
PHENIX CITY, AL United States
Stuff About Me:

Nojan was born in Tehran, Iran and lived there until he and his family emigrated to Aachen, Germany, where he lived for the next five years.  Then he immigrated to the Atlanta area and grew up in north Atlanta / Sandy Springs.  Having always been interested in the brain, he pursued his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience as well as Anthropology at Emory University.  He then attended the Medical College of Georgia for his medical training and residency in Neurology.  He met his wife Jennifer on an internet dating site (it really does work!), and they have been married for 12 years.  They lived in Augusta, Georgia for four years before returning back to Jennifer's hometown in the Columbus area. Nojan and Jennifer have four children, Ava, Cameron, Aiden and Tristan. Nojan is the former medical director of the stroke and neurology program at The Medical Center for five years and now plays that same role at St. Francis Hospital today, where he is a Neuro-hospitalist and mostly focuses on inpatient and critical care Neurology.

He has always enjoyed playing sports and being active.  Aside from his running and coaching soccer for his two oldest children's soccer teams, he spends his free time on photography, collecting and writing with fine pens / fountain pens and shopping on Amazon Prime (who doesn't?!).

Nojan is a strong believer that reading and books help make for more educated children and support both their leisurely as well as professional pursuits.  In fact, much of Nojan's early education and interest in Neuroscience as well as career options came from books from the community library in Atlanta that Nojan read in 8th grade.  He believes that building such a strong foundation for our children and providing them the resources they need, is an important investment in the future of our communities,  and he is excited to support the Muscogee County Library Foundation.   Please help him raise $1,000 to support our library system.

Nojan will send every person who contributes $100 or more to his cause a handwritten note with one of his favorite fountain pens. (His penmanship is quite incredible!) He can also, on special request, write a note on your behalf to someone. Please contact him with this request prior to November 10th.

Thank you for supporting Nojan and investing in our library and the future of our community.
