We envision our community as a place where no adoptable pet or feral cat is killed, regardless of resources, economics, or politics.
We are an all-volunteer organization comprised of a "working" Board of Directors, several committees, and many hard-working, compassionate volunteers who see our vision closer to fruition with every passing day!!
HOW YOUR DONATIONS ARE USED:
Pet Food Bank: We operate a Pet Food Bank where we strive to provide a one month supply of pet food to low/no-income families in Louisville and the surrounding areas. This program is essential to our community and ensures that we are able to help the families (almost 900 signed up so far) feed their pets and keep them OUT of the shelters. Your contributions make the difference between Home or the Shelter; Pet Food or Electricity.
Fixin' the Future Spay/Neuter Program: One of the requirements for our Pet Food Bank for recipients to have their pets spayed or neutered. This is another issue that low/no-income families struggle to find the means to take care of. Your contributions will help us to provide the recipients, who have unaltered pets, with a voucher to spay or neuter their animals. This program helps us keep unwanted animals OUT of the shelters and has a huge impact on the overwhelming problem of pet overpopulation.
By donating to these two important programs, you give us an opportunity to focus on our other life-saving programs, such as our foster program, adoption program, lost/found program, help desk, and other no-kill steps.
Your support makes it possible!
