NOLA 2016 (Gleason Gras)
Organized by: Sharon Cook
Steve Gleason & ALS
April 05, 2016
I am starting this fundraiser for 2 very important reasons. 1: Steve Gleason has helped alot of ALS patient as well has been an inspiration to me ( as have the young people of Youth Run NOLA). ALS has no cure but as of now there are certain organization that are willing to give of their time. I myself am willing to do the same. I have followed Steve for over 2 years now & am amazed by him for many reasons. 2:The Youth of NOLA deserve the support to keep this cause going. I met several of these young ladies & men at Gleason Gras this past October. Let me tell you these kids are definitely born runners & they love giving back to their community! Here is a little more about the 5K (Gleason Gras) I will be participating in & am doing this fundraiser for: Youth Run NOLA wants to teach the community, as we teach our youth, that runners are made, not born, and that running is a lifestyle, not just a sport. This race is designed to help meet this challenge. The 2nd reason I am doing this fundraiser is because I plan on going back to New Orleans for Gleason Gras (once the date is set). If these young people can give of their time for causes like ALS, or to show their support for their community then they deserve respect & support. Youth Run NOLA is an after-school, youth development program for middle and high school students across the Greater New Orleans region. So please donate & share this page.
Here are 3 websites where you can get more information on all 3 of these events/causes. Thank you for your time & support! http://youthrunnola.org http://www.gleasongras.org http://www.teamgleason.org/ (Steve Gleason)
