EVENT DATE Sep 15, 2014
Nola Boyd is a sweet, loving 19 month old girl who loves playing, having tea parties and being with her family and friends. In August 2014, Nola was diagnosed with bilateral wilms tumors. A wilms tumor, or nephroblastoma, is a rare kidney cancer that predominantly affects children under 5. Nola is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments and has had to be hospitalized a couple of times during her first 6 weeks of chemotherapy. The road to get Nola better is going to be a long one. Nola will need surgery as well as additional chemotherapy after her surgery. Since Nola's diagnosis her parents have been unable to work in order to accomodate Nola's treatment schedule. In addition, the Boyd family is also expecting a new addition in July, Nola is going to be a big sister! The family finances and everyday life has become both physically and emotionally exhausting. We figured fundraising would be the best way to help out our sweet niece, Nola. Any contributions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for visiting our page.
