Thank you for visiting my personal fundraising page, where you are able to learn about and contribute to a very important fundraising challenge of raising $1,500 to sponsor a Bear Box for America’s First National Park: Yellowstone National Park!
Over recent years there has been a rising number of Bear-human conflicts, especially in the greater Yellowstone area. These conflicts not only jeopardize human safety, but also put bears at risk and compromise the great progress made in bear conservation. Luckily, many Bear-human conflicts can be avoided with the use of proper safety precautions such as storing food in bear-proof containers while camping.
Unfortunately, installing the proper equipment to all 2,000 campsites in the park is quite expensive and labor intensive. With the combination of YOUR SUPPORT and the Yellowstone Park Foundation we can sponsor a bear box in Yellowstone National Park, and reduce the number of campsites that do not have proper safety equipment. To learn more about bearboxes please visit YPF’s website: www.ypf.org/bearbox
Our sponsored bear box will feature: an engraved name plate placed on the box – one of the few recognition opportunities located in Yellowstone!
