A world without slavery where every woman can know her full potential.
Nomi, the eight-year-old girl our president, Diana Mao, met in 2008, is the inspiration for Nomi Network. You are the network of individuals and organizations, partnering with us to end modern day slavery and human trafficking so that the “Nomis” of our generation can shape their own lives and reach their full potential.
Now 17 years old, Nomi is thriving, and since 2009 Nomi Network has also been thriving and we are on our way to empowering 100,000 women within five years. Our programs are working and we are making significant impact on the ground intrafficking hotspots in Northern India and Cambodia. Our curriculum has been highly ranked by the Asian Development Bank for effectively building skills and lifting women out of poverty. Trainees like Naj, who was illiterate and could not even sign her name before joining our program, are now starting businesses and earning upwards of 500 times what the average semi-skilled male worker earns in Northern India.
Money raised during this campaign goes into expanding our curriculum and programs so that we may accommodate more women, empower those women, and end human trafficking.
