The End of the Road, The End of the Blog

BENEFITING: CITIZENS CLIMATE EDUCATION CORP
EVENT DATE: Jun 25, 2016
I am celebrating my retirement from 27 years with Indian Health Service with a bike trip to the remote north of Canada. Accompanied by my brother Gary, we hope to get from Prince Rupert, B.C., to Inuvik, Northwest Territory - currently the farthest north town reachable by road in Western Canada. 2600km. I want to experience permafrost while we still have some!
I semi-retired to devote more time to what most medical groups are calling the "greatest threat to public health around the globe" (climate change).
To make this expedition even more memorable, I am asking for pledges - with the $ going toward the Citizens Climate Lobby Education Fund. CCL is a grassroots non-profit dedicated to creating the political will for a livable world! A penny-a-mile pledge would be $17.00. Or you can just donate a lump sum. I will notify you after completion of the trip to tell you the actual mileage (or estimated if GPS does to work there!). I might even update you during the trip, if there is any internet. If you are able, I hope you will consider this.
Thank you very much! Lori Byron (and Gary Griffin)
