BENEFITING: LA NUEVA ESPERANZA
EVENT DATE: Jun 01, 2013
We are pleased to announce that La Nueva Esperanza and the Bushwick Youth Against AIDS have planned the first annual North Brooklyn AIDS Awareness Walk (Brooklyn AIDS Walk), a walk through Bushwick and Williamsburg. The 2013 North Brooklyn AIDS Awareness Walk has one main mission: RAISE AWARENESS. The event will focus on raising awareness in communities like Bushwick, Williamsburg , Bed Stuy, & East New York about the importance of safe sex practices, HIV testing, and a drug free lifestyle.
We would love your participation and/or support in this wonderful event. The registration fee that you will find on the site is tax-deductible, and all proceeds will support La Nueva Esperanza, a not-for profit that services the Brooklyn communities; and all other areas in New York City that have been devastated by the Twin Epidemics, Substance Abuse and HIV/AIDS.
We would very much appreciate your participation and/or donation! Also, the event will be followed by a health fair (youth performances, live salsa, food, music, and fun for kids) on Humboldt Street between Johnson Avenue and Montrose Avenue at 1:00 PM.
Please register, donate, and share this link with friends and family!
Thank you so much in advance for your support! Please respond directly to BKAIDSWalk2013@gmail.com if you'd like to get even more involved, as well as with any comments, questions, etc. Thank you again!
