Dear Friends and Family,
It is with great enthusiasm that I share with you a wonderful opportunity I was given to travel to San Ramon, Nicaragua with Northeastern University School of Nursing to provide healthcare at the global level. This March I will embark on a medical mission through the non-profit organization Corner Of Love (http://corneroflove.org/).
This dedicated healthcare team is comprised of Doctors, Nurses, Dentists, Faculty and Students of Northeastern University. Our mission is to provide basic medical, dental and eye care along with donating clothing and shoes to children and families in the ten different villages we will be visiting. Each day we will pack up medicine and supplies, get on a bus and venture out to the remote northern villages in which the people live on less than $1 US dollar per day. In the villages we will provide general medicine, dental care, height and weight exams, pharmacy, clothing and more.
I have always wanted to pursue global health. Coupled with my rewarding nursing career I hope to be able to improve health and sustain healthy communities. It is with great pride that I look forward to be volunteering among these dedicated healthcare professionals along with the faculty and students of Northeastern University School of Nursing.
I will need to raise around $1300 before March 1st. Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated! All donations are tax deductible. Thank you in advance for your support, it is greatly treasured as I carry out this mission.
