Parish nursing is a non-denominational health care ministry based in local churches. This ministry reaches out in the community to encourage and support an individual's well-being by caring for the whole person. A parish nurse's focus is on the mind, body and spirit.
Following the example of Christ's ministry, this service is rooted in the mission of the church that proclaims the scripture: to go out and preach the kingdom of God and to heal (Luke 9:2). Through cooperation with other health care providers, this ministry strengthens the community and provides health care to those in need.
NW Wisconsin is particularly rural and economically stressed region withunder served areas in terms of religious and medical resources.
Our non-profit organization is funded by grantors and donations from individuals and churches. Due to the difficult economic times, our fiscal bottom line is hard hit. We appreciate donations to enable us to continue serving the often isolated older populations, youth, adults & families in distress.
