BENEFITING: March of Dimes Foundation
EVENT DATE: Nov 03, 2016
- A little more than a year ago, we were blessed to welcome our first child, Benjamin, to the world. At a time that every parent should be excited, we were terrified. Benjamin was born 14 weeks premature at 1lb 11oz and clinging to life. He was rushed to NICU in an incubator with breathing support. We watched and waited helplessly as our little boy faced a myriad of challenges and setbacks. After 100 worry filled days, Benjamin was discharged from the hospital and today he is a typical walking, talking toddler.
We are incredibly thankful to the March of Dimes for their ongoing research to identify the causes of premature birth. The March of Dimes continues to search for new treatments that help prevent preterm labor and contribute to improvements in medical care of premature babies. We hope that more families have the opportunity to have full term, healthy babies as a result of their work.
