32 acres. 1,854 feet of beach. Sand. Bedrock. Cobble. It was about to get developed, so we formed a non-profit and bought it. For people. For wildlife. For sunsets. For swimming. A big mortgage remains – that’s where you come in. If 500 people pitch in $135 each, this beach will be here waiting for you. Forever. Keep Seven Mile Point Beach Protected. Donate today! Dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of natural lands for the benefit of native biological diversity, science and education, and public enjoyment.

The North Woods Conservancy was founded in 1992 in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula, and has protected over 2 miles of Lake Superior shoreline and over 1,000 acres of the Keweenaw.

Our current project is to protect Seven Mile Point, 32 acres of boreal hardwood transition forest and some coastal wetlands, along with almost 2,000 feet of Lake Superior shore.
