EVENT DATE: Apr 18, 2013
Dear Family and Friends,
I am participating in a Physical and Occupational Therapy Mission trip to Costa Rica. The team will be serving the local Coastal Community in Nosara, Costa Rica that are in need of these services and share our faith through prayer and good deeds. We Hope to provide as much as we can while we are there, such as rehabilitative services, food and care packages.
I am asking you to consider joining our team through your support. First, please partner with me in praying for the people we will be serving, for my health and effectiveness as a team member, and for the many details of this trip.
Second, please consider supporting us financially for this outreach. One of the main goals is to raise money for wheelchairs and an adaptive arm cycle to help a local 13-year-old deaf mute girl who was born with a degenerative disorder called Kniest Dysplagia Syndrome. She was able to walk 1 1/2 ago, but unfortunetly complications with her spinal surgery caused her to become a paraplegic and is now 100% wheelchair bound. Part of our mission is to do what we can to educate and provide therapy in order to help increase her function. Her pain is constant and progressive... yet she has a sweet smile, loves to laugh, love and be loved.
Any extra money raised will be used towards medical and other supplies needed in the community.
Thank you for your prayers of support and being a vital part of our team!
