~~Staff Sgt. Bryan A. Burgess was from Cleburne, Texas. He entered the Army in March of 2003 arriving at Fort Campbell, Ky in September of 2009. Burgess was an Infantryman assigned to Charlie Company, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
Bryan was serving in Afghanistan in 2011. On March 29, 2011 he died of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire in Konar province.
His awards and decorations include, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal; Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and Combat Infantryman Badge.
He leaves behind his wife, Tiffany, his children, Zander, and Makya, his father and stepmother, Terry and Beth Burgess, his mother and stepfather, Linda and Randy Pearce, and a sister, Brandi Reynolds.
