In 2005, my husband, Stephen Walsh was diagnosed with Hereditary Diffuse Gastric Cancer (HDGC) at the age of 45. HDGC is a hereditary cancer that leads to increased risk for diffuse gastric cancer, lobular breast cancer and possibly colon cancer. This cancer strikes at a young age. Steve fought this disease for a year with courage and grace. He lost the battle a year later on November 21, 2006. November is Stomach Cancer Awareness Month. Please consider making a donation this month to support research for Hereditary Diffuse Gastric Cancer (HDGC). Research is needed to improve screening and ultimately prevent this aggressive disease. For more information about HDHC, please visit www.nostomachforcancer.org. Thank you for your support.
