BENEFITING: INTREPID FALLEN HEROES FUND

ORGANIZER: Homeland

EVENT DATE: Jul 30, 2017

Sherry Cheng

THE STORY:

Not Our Homeland wrote -

We are a group of angry Homeland fans who intend to honor Peter Quinn's legacy in a way the writers, producers, actors, and Showtime did not.

We would love for you to help us support the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund to memorialize Peter Quinn the right way. Please consider donating your monthly or yearly savings from a canceled Showtime subscription or any other gift amount of your choosing.

Although Peter Quinn was a fictional character, he represented the honor and courage of so many real-life servicemen and women. As a country, we must step up and consider the plight of returning veterans. These men and women should be honored and empowered, not forgotten. Rather than honor and memorialize Peter Quinn, we were given a few lines of dialogue and a scene of the woman he loved tossing his belongings into a trash bag. Rather than depict the real-life struggles of veterans re-entering civilian life, the writers chose to chase prescience and attempt to mirror current events.

Is this really the message they are sending to veterans now? Because it's not one we agree with.

Please consider donating to the IFHF to support and honor real-life heroes and the memory of our favorite fictional one.

He is our beacon now.

We loved you.

Your fans,

For always now
