The Story

We have won the Illinois Theatre Association/American Association of Community Theatre 2nd Bi-Annual Statewide festival competition - "commUNITY Theatre: One Heart, One Vision, One Voice, which occurred November - the 4th 5th & 6th, 2016. We will now be competing at the regional competition in Champaign, Illinois in the Spring of 2017. The Regional Fest is the weekend of April 27th-30th. We will compete against 9 other groups - two each from Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio and one from Illinois Approximately 30 cast members and crew will be traveling to the festival to compete. Funding is needed to cover the cast and crew's travel and meal expenses to the festival.

The North Riverside Players is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1989 with the goal of expanding appreciation of the arts by presenting quality theater at affordable prices.  Since its inception, the group has produced more than 40 shows, ranging from time-honored classics such as Hello, Dolly! and The Music Man, to modern shows such as The 26th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Little Shop of Horrors to six original scripts written by members of the North Riverside Players.

North Riverside Players strive to build a stronger community by offering opportunities for people of all ages and talents to be involved in the production of our shows.
