BENEFITING: American Red Cross
The 2013 Boston Marathon is an event that will continue to stand out in my mind for years to come. It was my 3rd time running the prestigious Boston Marathon and I was fortunate enough to have gotten an invitational entry and was running for my own personal goals. Because of the tragic events that day and the many of us who did not get to cross the finish line on Boylston Street, I've received another invitational entry for the 2014 race. I have decided I want to run for a cause close to my heart and for a cause greater than just my own personal goals in the 2014 Marathon. I will be running for the American Red Cross in 2014 to raise funds to support all of the wonderful work that they do. The Red Cross provides volunteers that provide emotional and medical support to the runners every year, and they were a major aid to those victims who were affected by the tragedy at the 2013 Boston Marathon. Any donation will be a huge help to them and I look forward to supporting such a wonderful organization and to run every single one of those 26.2 miles in April 2014!
