BENEFITING: CHILDRENS MUSEUM OF PHOENIX
“Snugs”… I got this word from a favorite restaurant of mine. It’s a term they used for a private booth for dining. It was this very luscious, comfortable space closed off with rich velvet curtains. It created the ultimate dining experience and made you feel like you had the restaurant all to yourself.
I see young moms everyday at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix breastfeeding their children in our public spaces. And although we provide ample seating and plenty of different areas to breastfeed, I would like our visitors to have the option of breastfeeding in a quiet, private space if they choose.
The Museum's 3rd floor Book Loft, already a lovely, calm, area for visitors to go to snuggle down together and read a book or work on a puzzle, is a perfect place for new moms to breastfeed their young children. Building one of these nursing areas would cost the Museum $3,500. So, I am on a quest to raise that for the Museum. Won’t you join me? Anything you can contribute to this effort would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your support!
