Innovation is a creative act. Seeing old problems from a new angle, anticipating new opportunities, or adjusting to and being open to change lies at the heart of innovation. But innovation is not a final destination; it's a journey as much as a process.
Enterprise firmly believes that when innovation is embraced and incorporated into an organization’s everyday activities that greater vibrancy and long-term sustainability for local neighborhoods can be achieved.
Accepting innovation as a key component to transformational work, Enterprise is investing and collaborating with Neighborhood Progress and Ohio Savings Bank, a division of New York Community Bank, in an innovative way to present support organizations' innovative ideas that has not yet been implemented due to a lack of financial resources and technical assistance.
Organizations that apply for the Nurture an Idea Award also have the opportunity to be invited to participate in an additional grant opportunity by competing in an online fundraising challenge, made available via the Crowdrise online platform. This challenge is meant to utilize an organization’s network and social media outlets to fundraise, with Enterprise providing instructions and support for campaign execution. The challenge will begin on October 14th and close on November 8th, with the organization that raises the most funds receiving the additional grant. The winner will also be announced at the event on November 12th.
The Crowdrise Winner will receive:
$10,000 in unrestricted matching grant funds, generously provided by Ohio Savings Bank, a division of New York Community Bank
* Please note: All participating organizations will be able to keep the funds raised during the challenge through their respective organization’s team
