I'm running for Team Stupid Cancer. It's a cause that hits close to home for me, as I'm married to a breast cancer survivor who was diagnosed at age 33 (yep, pack your bags, you're going on a guilt trip). I can tell you first hand that treatment is only part of the story. We got through it through an amazing support system of family and friends who had experience with cancer. But when you're under 40, cancer just isn't a topic of conversation and not everyone who receives a diagnosis knows where to turn. That's where Stupid Cancer comes in.
Since 2009, Team Stupid Cancer has helped to raise over $100,000 in support of our mission to empower young adults affected by cancer. They're an amazing organization and I'm proud to run on their behalf. I'm running 13.1 miles for them, and all I'm asking from you, is a donation. Guilt trip now over.
