Get Well Kakamega is the project and brainchild of Vincent Kwarula a celebrated soccer player, coach and humanitarian.
The project goal is simple and straightforward – build a well to provide a secure and safe supply of water to the 2000 people living in the village of Shihalia, in Kakamega county, Kenya. Says Vincent, “today people in Shahilia are dying and lives are compromised due to their inability to access and use clean water. It’s a situation we can change and easily. Building a well and creating easy access to clean water we can help people live more productive lives and reduce the healthcare burden ”. To make an impact we need your help. A detailed project analysis has been developed; project milestones have been developed. What is required now is funding and the commitment to make it happen. Please take the time to learn more about the project.
Get involved and help the people of Shahilai build their well and a better future.
To kick off the fundraising we will be running the New York City Half Marathon on March 20 2011, and The Leatherman Loop on May 1 2011.
