This will be my first marathon. Running 26.2 miles is a challenge, even if you can breathe easily. Despite being told that you can't run a marathon with asthma, I have discovered that running helps control my condition. And I refuse to be told I can't. But I want improved treatments and legislation to help people with asthma, and hopefully prevent more people from developing it in the first place. That's why I'm dedicating my training and marathon to helping the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. This group fights for improved treatments and legislation to protect those with asthma and allergies.
