BENEFITING: WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2011
As I am rounding First Avenue in NYC this November in the NYC Marathon, I will want to quit. I know this. After all, what is the point of running 26.2 miles anyway, all in one day?
Well, I have purpose. Given the travesty that is medical care that Iraq and Afganistan vets receive and the overall lack of adequate support for vets in America, I am hoping you can lend your support to this cause. The Wounded Warrior Project helps the men and women that volunteered for the military and now need our help.
So right as I am about to quit, I will think of these efforts and the purpose behind this run. I am hopeful that you can lend as much support as possible - I suggest $1 per mile, but give more if you can or less if you want. I appreciate any contribution, however big or small.
If you want, name something I can do to get you to put up. Wear a certain tee shirt on race day? You got it. Take part in some ad for a cause? Consider it done!
