John Lorenz, who serves as president of the BP Diamond Club, is running his first marathon this weekend, November 6 at 10:10 a.m. in New York City, and feels the BP Diamond Club is a great charity to raise money for. The BP Diamond Club is now a registered, not-for profit 501 (c)(3) organization, and the Club raises funds to support the RFH Regional High School baseball program and to generally promote baseball within the Rumson-Fair Haven area. School funding is generally limited to transportation, baseballs and umpires. Donations pay for everything else, and help is needed! The Club pays for assistant coaches, uniforms and training apparel, equipment, and literally all other expenses. This year, we will also need to make field improvements as field conditions are poor, to say the least. These items are not cheap, but if we do not raise the funds, they will not happen. Period.
Every donation helps, no matter how small. They are all greatly appreciated, so please show your support for our fine student athletes and donate to this worthwhile cause. As we are a registered not-for-profit organization, please check with your employer for potential employer matches on any donations. Thank you, in advance for your support, and GO BULLDOG BASEBALL!
