BENEFITING: HOSPICE BUFFALO INC
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2011
My Grandma, Marian Rosamund Maxon, passed away on September 25, 2006 from cancer. She spent her last days in Hospice Buffalo, a beautiful facility located in Cheektowaga, NY. The staff was wonderful to Grandma and to all of the family, and they helped ease some of the pain and anxiety that goes with watching a loved one slip away. I was so touched by the experience that I wanted to give back, so I began volunteering for Hospice in New York City in October 2009. I really want to give back to the Hospice facility in Buffalo, so I am running this marathon in memory of my Grandma and am raising money for Hospice Buffalo so that other patients and their families can benefit from it the way Grandma and my family did. Any amount you can give would be greatly appreciated, no matter how small or large.
