For as long as I can remember I have always been passionate about music and helping others. Becoming a music therapist afforded me the opportunity to have a career doing something I truly love. Working with children who have special needs such as autism has been incredibly rewarding. The children taught me that with a positive attitude and persistence that your goals can be accomplished. Their successes have inspired me to set a new goal for myself...to run a marathon.
Besides some running in high school over 15 years ago I have only been running since January 2011. My trainer Maria suggested that I give it a try so I went for it. Now almost every morning I am up and out running by 6am with an amazing group of people in the Meadowlands Runners Club. My first race was a half marathon in April and now I am hooked! Now I am combining my new passion for running and my lifelong passion for helping others.....it doesn't get any better than this! Please help me to reach my goal = )
