BENEFITING: The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp
ORGANIZER: The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp
EVENT: Team HITW NYC Marathon 2014
EVENT DATE: Nov 02, 2014
This November, I am running in the NYC Marathon for the kids of the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. I am running to raise awareness and funds for the kids who are battling serious illnesses, everyday. For all friends and family who are able I would ask if you could consider a $25 donation. I fully appreciate the support you all have provided through training and I look forward to seeing you all on Race Day!!
In addition to running and raising money for the Camp and kids I want to mention a great friend and inspiration Jackie Spellman - who like so many fought Leukemia with everything she had. She sadly lost her battle to Leukemia on April 28, 2009. But through every day of her life was able to touch, help and affect so many lives in a positive way and still does today. By donating to a great cause like The Hole in the Wall you give seriously ill children the chance to just be kids for a while. Jackie was always a kid at heart. Being able to give that chance to another child who may be faced with the same battle as Jackie is such a wonderful gift.
Please support me and this great charity, Team Hole in the Wall. Thank you.
Founded by Paul Newman in 1988, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is dedicated to providing "a different kind of healing" to seriously ill children and their families throughout the Northeast, free of charge. It's a community that celebrates the fun, friendship and spirit of childhood where every kid can "raise a little hell."
