BENEFITING: NYC Mission Society
EVENT DATE: Dec 13, 2013
Each year, New York City Mission Society is pleased to collect and distribute gifts to each of our young program participants during the holiday season through our Annual Holiday Toy Drive. This event has been a longstanding tradition within our agency. This year we plan to give nearly 900 toys to children in need in Harlem and The Bronx, reminding them that they are remembered at this special time of year. With household budgets being stretched thin by necessities, these gifts ease the burden on parents who may not be able to afford to provide any extras. For some, it may be the only gift their child receives this holiday season.
If you, your friends, or your family could donate a toy this year, it would mean so much to a little boy or girl in need. We are accepting new unwrapped toys for children ages 6-12 at New York City Mission Society's central office at 105 East 22nd Street, 6th Floor (corner of Park Ave South) or at Minisink Townhouse in Harlem at 646 Malcolm X Boulevard (at 142nd Street). Monday through Friday between 9 am and 5 pm until December 13, 2013.
We also set up online registries that list toys specifically requested by some of our students. Purchases from these lists (below) will get delivered straight to our offices.
