Hello, my name is Cameron and I am currently a junior in high school. I am a full-International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate, double-sciencing in both Chemistry and Biology, which is one of the most difficult routes to take. I have been performing important experiments inside and outside the classroom. My most recent experiment is the Use of Potassium Nitrate to Catalyze the Bioremediation Process of Oil-eating Microbes, and it is going to be entered into the Washington ISEF fair this February. I took the 2015 PSAT last October, and I scored nationally in the 98th percentile, which means that my overall score was higher than 98 percent of the juniors that took the exam. I have been flooded with college emails, insisting that I "come visit" and "read their brochures", but there was one particular email that caught my eye. It was from the head director of the National Youth Leadership Forum, inviting me to attend their Engineering and Technology program. I was absolutely ecstatic! I wasn't able to attend last year, due to financial issues. The tuition is $2,895, but I am working and tutoring to pay the $895. I would be incredibly grateful if people helped me pay this tuition. I will need the funds ASAP, so I will be able to secure my spot in the program. This program means so much to me because one of the colleges that are hosting the engineering program is the University of California, Berkeley, my ultimate dream college. I have been dreaming of going there since middle school. I plan to major in biochemical or biomedical engineering in college. This particular program allows the completion of one engineering project, and one of the projects allowed is biomedical engineering. This will allow me to gain experience in the field, as well as establishing connections with the students and faculty around me. The program also grants college credit, which will come in handy when I start filling out college applications next year. Any donation of any size will be greatly appreciated! Thank you. Cameron
