As many of you know, since I graduated from Wellesley, I have been working for an organization called Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center (BCNC). Working for BCNC has been an incredible experience and I feel very lucky to be able to work full time helping such an important organization further its mission. Through working with BCNC, I have learned so much about the AAPI community in the greater Boston area, and I've met so many people doing incredible work in this community.
This summer, I am paddling on BCNC's boat in the annual Boston Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival, an opportunity I'm super excited about. As part of this, I am aiming to raise $250 for BCNC's Youth Center, which provides youth ages 13-18 with year-round youth development, college access, and leadership programs, and I am asking all of my friends and family to make a donation to BCNC on my behalf. If just 10 friends donate $25 dollars by June 10th I will achieve my goal, but any donation will make a difference!
As an added bonus, I will write a new original poem for any person who donates $25 or more! I hope you will consider supporting a great cause that's dear to my heart.
