On October 7, 2018 I will be running (lightly jogging?) the 2018 Chicago Marathon. In all transparency, I didn't originally sign up to run the marathon to raise money for Alzheimer's specifically. I knew I wanted to raise money for a cause, but my cause was not determined. Recently, it dawned on me the relevance of October 7th - my Grandma Bohannon's birthday. She would have been 83 this year, but she was taken too early by Alzheimer's. I'll be running the 2018 Chicago Marathon (my 1st marathon) in her honor, and raising money to ensure we find a cure for this terrible disease that affects tens of millions of lives every year. If you know someone who has been affected by Alzheimer's, I urge you to consider donating on their behalf. All proceeds will go to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation, a leading nonprofit in the fight against Alzheimer's. Thank you in advance for your support!
