Hi! Thanks for checking out my Marley's Mutts Donations Page. Check out WHY you should donate to my campaign and learn why I am running the Chicago Marathon for Marley's Mutts this October.
Marley’s Mutts is a non-profit organization that rescues, rehabs, trains and re-homes dogs from Kern County, CA, high-kill animal shelters. In addition, they train rescued dogs to transform people’s lives. Through the power of the human-canine bond, they empower dogs and people to live healthy, happy and productive lives.
I‘m a runner, trx-er, yogi...you get the picture. I love animals (my dog Oscar is the "da bebee"), fitness and nutrition. When I saw that Marley's Mutts sent out a shout for marathon runners I thought "I can do that!" and jumped in! At times, I wasn't sure I could balance training and life - but then I thought, did the animals have that choice? Nope. And if the amazing, deserving dogs and people of Marley's Mutts and if rescuers all over the world can keep at it - well, so can I! So please help me achieve my goal for them. I hope to run another marathon for Marley's Mutts AND another world-changing cause in the future.
Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization (30-0636031) concentrated on saving the lives of Kern County's (California) incarcerated canines. Kern County's shelters are beyond full and register some of the highest euthanasia rates in the country. Marley's Mutts is committed to these shelter dogs because they have NO ONE and are closest to death. These dogs are at the shelter because they have been abandoned, lost, neglected, discarded or abused and many of them have no way out but RESCUE. These dogs are without family, love or representation and the rescues aims to save as many as they can. We are their rescuers, their voice and their future.
