Hello Everyone! I did something crazy and voluntarily decided to run 26.2 miles... what?! Rewind to the beginning of May, I got the idea of running a marathon into my head. A few weeks after the unexpected passing of my dad, I started training runs on his favorite running path. Whenever the miles got hard, I would talk to my dad to the beat of my feet hitting the ground, asking him to, “guide me, lead me, carry me.” This ritual of running countless miles and talking to my dad quickly became the most therapeutic part of my day. I have truly felt his presence on every run... and man has he guided me, lead me, and especially carried me through some of those tough days. I am excited to run not for, but with my dad everyday.
So, with my dad, I am running in support of the Children’s Miracle Network which aids local sick and injured children. 100% of funds raised here stay here to help kids in our region... how cool is that?! This cause is near and dear to my heart as I work for the regions ONLY Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Sanford Children’s Hospital. I see these funds being put to use everyday and know how much it is appreciated by the patients, families, and community. I would LOVE if you would consider donating to this worthwhile cause!
