I now realize I never got around to sharing online that we were expecting our 4th child, a boy, in July. It is with heavy hearts that we announce our son, Brandon Dennis Holman, was born sleeping at 23 weeks on Saturday, March 31st at 9:33 AM. He weighed 14.5 ounces and measured 11.5 inches long. He was tiny and perfect. Thank you for the texts, calls, cards and offers to help. Thank you to the wonderful nurses at Woodwinds. Thank you to a terrific organization, Halos of the St Croix Valley, for reaching out immediately and offering support, advice, a photographer and a beautiful gift basket. We are so sad, but incredibly thankful to you all. We know Brandon and our whole family is loved. http://www.maplewoodmnfuneral.com/obituary/brandon-holman
HALOS 5K FAMILY FUN DAY wrote:
Each year we run/walk side by side to honor, remember and celebrate the children we love and have lost too soon. Together we bring hope to each other all while raising funds to support the many families that will face the tragic loss of their child. We are a volunteer organization and all funds raised, go directly to Halos of the St. Croix Valley and where we will then use them to support families, through providing cremation or burial costs, caskets, urns, memorial cards, headstones, hand and foot molds, cremation jewelry, little angel healing baskets, providing hands on, unique services for each child, luncheon following service, memorial photography, ongoing support resources such as counseling, sending families to Faith's Lodge for healing, providing Cuddle Cots($3,000), in every local hospital (2016 we dedicated them to Hudson and Baldwin, 2017 we dedicated them to Woodwinds, Westfield, St. Croix Falls and River Falls.), and much more! Including our newest program, purchasing a group of plots at a local cemetery to gift to families. Please help us to continue helping families grieving the loss of a child. Together we will give families hope, through healing and help keep their child's memory alive.
