Hi friends!! I'm not thrilled to be on the losing end of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon lottery 2 straight years - but I AM thrilled to be raising money for MSI! This place is amazing. It sparks curiosity and fuels knowledge in a world where these things seem to be under appreciated and much needed. If you haven't gone, go. If you have gone, go again. It won't disappoint! About me: I'm 38 and will be running my 15th marathon in October! Running is love. So many friendships have been made through this wonderful sport. I'm excited to cross this race off my bucket list and hopeful that it will pave the way to Boston!
UPDATE: With the encouragement of thousands of spectators, I crossed the finish a minute under the Boston qualifying standards!! YEE-HAW! Thank you so much for helping to make this possible. It was the perfect day and I'm happy to have supported MSI while running toward my dream.
Museum of Science and Industry wrote: Hello! Welcome to the Museum of Science and Industry's official charity page for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Our runners love the Museum, and are making their Bank of America Chicago Marathon experience even more meaningful by running on behalf of MSI. The proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the Museum's Annual Fund. Contributions to support our Annual Fund impact nearly everything we do to support our vision: to inspire and motivate our children to achieve their full potential in the fields of science, technology, medicine and engineering. We appreciate your support and dedication, and hope to see you on race day!
