Our 2nd Annual Boulder Skyline Traverse event is taking place on Saturday, September 14th. The teams will run a 16.3 mile trail to raise funds for MHP’s Suicide Prevention Education Campaign. The team who raises the most money wins!
Traverse route information:
The Boulder Skyline Traverse is a 16.3 mile route that traverses the five peaks that top Boulder’s western landscape. The run starts at the South Mesa trailhead and ends at MHP’s Ryan Wellness Center (1000 Alpine Ave, Boulder, CO 80304) in Boulder.
Money raised will support:
Last year, the inaugural Boulder Skyline Traverse Challenge raised over $14,000! These contributions were used to fund MHP’s suicide prevention initiative: “Be 1 of 4098.” This campaign works to prevent future suicides by educating individuals on how to recognize when someone is reaching out for help and how to effectively respond to those invitations. Since the beginning of our “Be 1 of 4098” campaign, we’ve trained over 2400 people in Boulder and Broomfield Counties!
This year, funds raised from The 2nd Annual Boulder Skyline Traverse will also contribute to the “Be 1 of 4098” campaign, as well as support additional suicide prevention efforts, such as providing community training/classes in suicide prevention, developing suicide prevention education resources in Spanish, expanding support groups around loss and interventions/crisis interventions in schools, and developing collateral material.
