Golf has had such a positive influence in my life, and cancer has had such a negative influence in a lot of people's lives including mine. I’ve lost grandparents and friends to cancer and have loved ones currently battling this terrible disease. For those that know me, they know that Golf is a passion of mine. I’ve experienced first-hand the unique ability that Golf has to bring people together. When I learned about Golf Fights Cancer and its mission to gather the Golf community together to fundraise for Cancer Research, I felt an immediate connection.
I am honored to run The 2019 Boston Marathon as a part of the Golf Fights Cancer team. I run in memory of loved ones who have lost their battle: my grandparents Bill and Marie “Bish” McCart, Cindy O’Brien and Sue Thomson. I run in honor of courageous survivors: my Auntie Moe, my Auntie Joy, Judy Marinelli, Kathy Mullins, Linda Ubertini, and Linda Blood. I run in honor of my teammates and those affected in their lives. Please consider donating to my efforts to fundraise for Golf Fights Cancer.
Love that Dirty Water!
