This year, three days before the Boston Marathon, I turn 50. For many decades, I have run for myself - my mental health, physical health (combatting a big appetite!) and pure enjoyment but this year, I wanted to run for a cause. Sadly, cancer has impacted too many friends and family who are dear to me. They are battling all types of cancer with courage, grace and strength.
When the opportunity arose to join TeamGFC to fundraise to fight cancer, I jumped at the chance because it was time to run for others rather than myself. If you are inclined to support this battle against cancer, I would so appreciate your support. Running Boston has been a dream of mine and doing it for this tremendous cause makes marking a half a century on this planet all the more fulfilling. Thank you so much for your support.
