Glenview Elementary is soaring into its annual Read-a-Thon fundraiser. During this year’s event, we are challenging every student to read 30 minutes a day while asking their family, friends, and communities to sponsor them by donating to Glenview.
That’s a total of about 200,000 minutes of reading for our 20th annual Read-a-Thon!
If we rise to the occasion, the school will open the time capsule that was buried at our original school site in the 1920s when the school was built. In other words, we’re celebrating 20 years of reading with a 1920s time capsule!
Kids who earn the top reading and earning spots this year will get to strategize on what to add to the time capsule, which will be reburied at the Glenview site under the soon-to-be-completed new school building. This is Glenview’s second fundraiser of the year. Let’s all encourage the children to reach new reading heights!
