Please join Team Jeff Lane on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 9am for the 2nd Annual Walk to End Addiction at Bridgewater State University. The team walk will also serve as Jeff's 2nd year memorial of his passing. This event has already DOUBLED in size from last year, with over 1,500 participants and counting, coming out to help fight this epidemic!! The money raised will fund treatment for willing addicts, fund the building of Teen Challenge’s new treatment center in Brockton, MA and funds will also be given back to other great non-profits that help our communities through this epidemic daily such as Learn 2 Cope, Plymouth Recovery Center, Brockton Mayor's Opioid Overdose Prevention Coalition, EBs HOPE, PCO HOPE, and Team Sharing, Inc. All participants and finishers of the walk will also receive a medal this year!
Jeffrey Lane was such an amazing soul. Humble. Selfless. Protective. Patient. Compassionate. Fierce. Honest. Comical. Hungry. Tough. Quick witted. Facetious. Infamous. Intellectual. Genuine. These are all of the things that defined Jeff. His addiction did NOT define him. This is why we are walking. We are walking for what these people WERE. We are walking to change the stigma. I refuse to let what my brother lost his life to define him. The only way we can change the way we treat addiction is to do something about it. As my brother would say, "Don't talk about it, be about it!"
