If you have visited the KidZone Museum recently, you may have been met by a disappointing sight - our "At Capacity" sign on the door. So many children love to play, discover, and connect with us, our visitation has increased by 229% in 10 years, and we have outgrown our current space. Perhaps most critically, our temporary structure will reach the end of its 20-year lifespan in 2023.
Our Board is hard at work preparing for the KidZone's move to a space with more room for exhibits and programs for everyone from infants to teenagers. With a larger space, we could serve 50% more children living in poverty in our region. Other nonprofits in our community have successfully completed capital campaigns to raise funds for a new facility with the help of a professional consultant. These consultants charge between $300,000 and $350,000 to plan and execute a capital campaign. As a small museum without a development director or fundraising staff, the assistance of a consultant is vital to achieving our funding goal.
Your contribution to this fundraiser is essential to securing a new space for the KidZone Museum, and ensuring that our community's children continue to reap the many benefits of imaginative play for years to come. Your support means the world to the children and families we serve. To learn more about KidZone's plans for the future, please click here, or contact Carol Meagher, firstname.lastname@example.org.
