This is a project related to SDG 6; sanitation. The goal is to improve women sanitation conditions in rural part of Nepal by setting up low cost sanitary napkin-making facilities to provide a low-cost sanitation pad for those women to use. This project is inspired by the poor status of women sanitation in earthquake camps in Sindhupalchowk and Nuwakot District after Nepal Earthquake 2015. The unaware and illiterate women and girls had to face crucial problems during their menstrual periods in such scenario. This project will also focus on preparing manpower to respond quickly to sanitation conditions during the humanitarian crisis. The project also includes research on innovative methods for awareness and production of low-cost environment-friendly sanitation equipment using locally available materials.
