I always told myself, "I'll never run a marathon...these people are crazy". Well, never say never!
Over the past few years, I've been inspired by friends & coworkers who had the strength and dedication to run their first marathon; by family members who have battled through unexpected illness/cancer; and to no surprise to any Bostonian, but by my City. Every year on Patriots day I race around the city to go cheer on friends, colleagues & strangers as they cheerfully (which I never understood) ran alongside hundreds of other runners who are decorated in their charity or cause of choice. It's a day of unity, strength & passion. The energy is highly contagious...and I finally caught the running bug!
This year I want to do more than just cheer or donate to friends. I'm proud and incredibly lucky to say that I get to run the 2018 Boston Marathon for a foundation that is truly inspirational and one that will change the world for the better.
Please join & support me as I raise money for "Find the Cause" who's mission is to fund scientific research on the environmental causes of breast cancer and to educate the public on prevention.
How will your donation help? Through “Investing in Prevention” campaign, Find The Cause is raising $5 million to fund a consortium of four scientific laboratories at Boston University and Tufts University. This is the first initiative of its kind, focusing on the environmental causes of breast cancer and capitalizing on the synergies of these teams of world renowned scientists who are working in collaboration to discover which chemicals cause breast cancer, how they cause it and how to prevent them from causing it.
Thank you for all your support!
