14 women ambassadors of nonprofits were selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants to participate in the 2018 Charity Warriors Challenge and compete for a $10k prize and a chance to earn one of 5 spots in the grand finale event in Boston on April 11 where last year, together the finalists raised over $300k!
One of the nonprofits chosen is led by a wonderful woman, Leah Okimoto, who started it in memory of her son, Aaron. The organization works to empower and support youth in fulfilling their ideas to make the world a better place. Over 800 kids have participated through the organization and if you think about the number of people the kids have impacted with their kindness (>25,000!), it's pretty incredible.
In honor of Leah and Aaron, I've decided to join the team and start a fundraiser. Like Leah, I don't like asking for money but I really believe in the cause and know that winning the challenge would make a big difference for this great organization and all the people they can impact by extension.
They are currently in second place and have just one week to get into the coveted first place spot! Can you help us? To read more about the organization and make a donation, please click on the link below. (Only donations via the link will count toward determining the challenge winner.)
Thank you so much!
