After spending 3 hours talking and working with the clients at the Lowell Transitional Living center in 8th, I can honestly say my outlook on the world around me changed. Part of me became more aware of critical problems of hunger and poverty that we are facing so close to home, but the other side of me saw the incredible kindness and strength in those who were suffering from those same issues.
As Aaron's Presents Alum, I have had the incredible opportunity to experience the power of leading an project that impacted my community while helping me become confident, thoughtful, and empathetic. AP works to empower hundreds of kids every year, to give of themselves to better their communities. They believe that every child has something positive to give to world and it is their goal to help them discover that passion. In 4 ½ years, AP has helped almost a thousand children complete 450+ projects and positively impact over 30,000+ people or animals in the Merrimack Valley! They have consistently proven that children can be leaders despite their class, race, age, or experience.
Aaron's Presents enables hundreds of kids who normally might not have opportunities to even leave their homes, change their communities. Most importantly, every mentor at Aaron’s Presents, like founder and executive Director Leah Okimoto, sees the best in every child and they wholeheartedly believe in each of our abilities. With your support, Aaron’s Presents will be able to help hundreds of kids experience this life changing opportunity. Every dollar you donate will help bring a childs vision to life and create positive change!
Aaron's Presents is a 2018 Charity Warrior and with your help, we could win a $10k prize, which would make a HUGE difference!! Please consider donating the best you can!
