ACFA-Mali is a US-based non-profit organization whose mission is to provide safe harbor and excellent education to the most vulnerable children of Mali.
ACFA-Mali has two projects running simultaneously. Our first project is our Bamako Children's Home where we currently house, educate, feed, and empower 12 young children (ages 8to 13) to break the cycle of poverty. We do this through high quality education, skill and vocational training, and care and compassion. Your donations help children like Diassan and Saleh continue to learn, grown, and thrive despite the poverty-stricken environment that encapsulates Mali.
Our second project is currently under construction, and that is our Zorokoro Children's Complex. Currently we have one dormitory, one section of our school, solar power, and a well built. Eventually we hope to have 4 dormitories that will house 100 children full-time, a school for grades 1 through 9, and vocational training and classes for adults. We will also have an activities center for extracurriculars and an on-site health clinic.
Your donation will help our current chidlren in the Bamako Home continue to receive education, food, and shelter rather than being placed back on the streets of Mali. It will also help us to continue the construction of our Zorokoro Children's Complex, where we are first going to use the funds to bring 25 children into our first dormitory, thereby giving more Malian children the opportunity to thrive instead of being displaced and neglected on the poverty-stricken streets of Mali.
