When ACT needed to close its doors at our rehearsal and performance venue in December of 2014, we had less than 2 weeks to dispose of over 10 years of sets, props, costumes and technical supplies. It was a devastating time for all of us. Here we are, almost 3 years later, strong, settled and happy in our new rehearsal space! ACT is truly an organization of second chances and miracles. Today, we perform in several different venues which works out great, but ACT does incur major expenses from doing so. On top of paying several thousand dollars each weekend that we rent space, we also must provide our own microphones. We have been renting these and each time we rent, there is an additional 2-3 thousand dollars of expenses involved. We have been doing some shopping around and we can purchase microphones and a complete system on our own for just over $10,000. Being a not for profit organization that ALWAYS runs on a shoe string budget, we don't have the cash for the purchase. We now ask our family, friends and community to help us our if you are able.
