Dear family and friends-
In celebration of my becoming a Bar Mitzvah, I decided to raise money for the American Cancer Society for my Mitzvah project, in memory of my maternal grandparents, because my family has a long history with this organization. I am named for my Grandfather, Arnold Bernstein, M.D., z"l, Chenoch Ben Chayim. In addition to being an amazing husband, father, son, and good friend, he was a well-respected cancer surgeon for women in Atlanta, saving many lives. We still hear stories from friends and former patients about how much my Grandfather meant to them. My Grandmother, Arlene Bernstein z"l, whom I loved very much and was very special to me, was very active in raising money for the American Cancer Society for many years as President of the Georgia Baptist Hospital Medical Guild. My Great Grandmother, Helen Bernstein z"l, was a founding member and President of the Jeri Finesilver Cancer Foundation that raised money for cancer research. It is my goal to raise this money in their memory and continue their legacy and commitment to the American Cancer Society as my Mitzvah project.
Thank you in advance for your contribution,
